CONTINUING GOALS
*Provide age level appropriate Christian Education for infants-sixth grade
*Assist Director of Children's Ministries with recruitment, training, and nurture of
*teachers and child care volunteers
*Assist in recruiting staff and students for Vacation Bible School, Day Camp, Gathering Time, and Wonder Center
*Support the activities of the Children's Choirs
*Plan and implement teacher appreciation event(s)
*Plan and implement church-wide celebrations: Rally Day, ThirdGrade Bible/Third Grade Sleepover and Family Brunch, Children's SabbathService, Advent Festival, Jesus’ Birthday Brunch, Palm Parade, Hosanna Festival, UNICEF celebration, Pet Blessing Service, Christmas Eve Family Service
*Encourage the participation and presence of children in worship and other church activities; encourage the pastoral staff to continue Children's Time, Acolyte seminars, and the study of Baptism and Communion as incorporated in Gathering Time lessons
*Provide audiovisual equipment, supplies and repairs as needed to carry out the Children’s Ministries Program and advertise events. program
*Supply Faith-Home Series pamphlets for the Library
*Celebrate the birth/adoption of each child with a rose/vase on the altar
*Give each new parent the book, A Baby is for Loving
*Photograph each family at Baptism, present them with a Cradle Cross, Baptism booklet, and Certificate of Baptism
* Continue membership in the Prevent Child Abuse Ohio at the Center for Child and Family Advocacy
2010 NEW GOALS
*Review and update Child Protection Policy.
*Evaluate the current Christian Education program.
*With Missions Committee support the “Nothing But Nets” campaign against malaria through 2010 the Sunday School offering and host the Nothing But Nets Family Walk and Fun Run on April 24.
FIVE YEAR GOALS
* Encourage Trustees and Renovation Committee to replace all window coverings in the Education wing
*Encourage Trustees to carpet all rooms that house infants, preschoolers, and children.
*Encourage Trustees to install an automated sprinkler system in the Education wing
