Brief: This internship is appropriate for someone interested in the Church’s outreach and ministry with adults, or who may be interested in a ministry career in the church.
Hours: 5 Hours per week while classes are in session.
Length of Internship: 2011-2012 academic year
Stipend: $500 for the school year
Full Description: The Intern will work under the supervision of the Adult Ministries Director. The Intern and Adult Ministries Director will define together the nature of the Intern’s work based on the gifts and interests of the Intern and the needs of the church. Possible activities include, but are not limited to: designing or assisting in adult and family ministries, helping the church promote ministry programs in the broader community.
Accountability: The Intern will meet individually with the Adult Ministry Director at least twice a month for ongoing evaluation and direction. At least once per semester the Intern will meet with the Pastor or Internship Director along with the other college interns at the United Methodist Church of Berea for accountability, encouragement and leadership development.
